I met Atira in high school back in 2014 and I always knew that she was just a little bit different from everyone else in the best possible way. She was driven, creative, determined, kind and focused. These are not traits that only I recognized, but individuals around her as well. Upon graduation, she was enrolled into Iona College as a Communications major. There, she explored other creative arts but stayed true to her activism combined with her creativity. Today, Atira works for a multitude of companies where her  communications skills are most useful. More specifically, she works  in communications, "specifically the disparaging of informations ideas regarding products both theoretical and physical, primarily in marketing across government, small business, and non-profits". Her work ethic is something like I've never seen before, battling her personal loses with the pressures of college, effortlessly. This is what made me want to reach out to her and learn about her creative process, hoping that I could learn from her. She is not only my friend, but someone I look up to. She has helped me develop the mindset that I need as someone who wants to create her own path, the way that she has. Atira always has multiple projects going for her, as she spreads awareness in today's social climate, as well as creating websites, and personal graphic designed content.
